About Attorney Kelly Bitov
Greetings! I am a public interest environmental attorney, based in Western Massachusetts. I am an alumni of the law and public health dual-degree program between Northeastern University School of Law and the Tufts University School of Medicine Public Health and Professional Degree Program and am admitted to the Massachusetts bar.
These days, I'm wearing a lot of different hats. I am a radical journeyman lawyer, professor and innkeeper. During the academic year, I teach Environmental Law and Human Rights at Hampshire College and advise incredibly creative students in creating their own courses of study. During proxy season, I work with a small corporate accountability practice, Strategic Counsel, using law creatively to push major corporations to take action on climate change, worker's rights, customer privacy and more. I'm an active member of the Board of Earthdance, an artist-run workshop, residency and retreat center in the Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts. I also run my own retreat center, Nine Mountain Retreats, for yoga, meditation and other transformational practices.
Pro Bono Volunteer Opportunities
I am interested in volunteer opportunities with environmental advocacy organizations and grassroots community organizing groups.
I seek mentors who are current professionals in the legal field. I am interested in mentoring younger women who have an interest in legal work.
I am interested in meeting with other professionals to discuss job and volunteer ideas and opportunities, particularly in Western Massachusetts and Southern Vermont. If you know someone who would be "great for me to meet" please refer them to this site. They can contact me through the Contact Me page on this website.
