 About Attorney Kelly Bitov

Greetings! I am a public interest environmental attorney, based in Western Massachusetts. I am an alumni of the law and public health dual-degree program between Northeastern University School of Law and the Tufts University School of Medicine Public Health and Professional Degree Program and am admitted to the Massachusetts bar.

I am currently working as an Attorney with the Partnership for Policy Integrity, an environmental law and policy non-profit headed by Mary Booth, PhD. PFPI is concerned with impacts on forests, air emissions, and global warming emissions from the development of biomass energy. At PFPI I work on biomass energy policy and help community groups bring legal challenges against polluting biomass facilities throughout the United States. I also work with EcoLaw attorneys helping the Pilgrim Coalition tackle threats to public health and the environment arising from continued operation of Massachusetts' one remaining nuclear power plant, Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, located in Plymouth, Massachusetts. During proxy season, I work with Attorney Sanford Lewis in his solo environmental corporate accountability practice, Strategic Counsel.

Pro Bono Volunteer Opportunities

I am interested in volunteer opportunities with environmental advocacy organizations and grassroots community organizing groups.

Mentorship

I seek mentors who are current professionals in the legal field. I am interested in mentoring young women in high school and college who have an interest in legal work.

Networking

I am interested in meeting with other professionals to discuss job and volunteer ideas and opportunities, particularly in Western Massachusetts and Southern Vermont. If you know someone who would be "great for me to meet" please refer them to this site. They can contact me through the Contact Me page on this website.

Organizational Membership

I am a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Massachusetts Womens Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association and the Hampshire County Bar Association.

I am Vice President of the Board of Earthdance, my favorite arts nonprofit. Earthdance is an artist-run workshop, residency, and retreat center located in the Berkshire hills of Western Massachusetts.
